At the beginning, this plugin used Disqus. But Disqus has several disadvantages in combination with Inline Comments, so I decided to remove support for it. However, you can use older versions that implemented Disqus; you can download them from here:

(version 1.2 and below)

What are the disadvantages?
1. The comments submitted using Disqus had not been stored into the WordPress database. (The causes several other issues. For example, a post’s comments count wasn’t accurate.)
2. When you had deactivated Inline Comments (the Disqus version), the comments disappeared from your blog. This does not happen when you use native comments.
3. I – as a developer – don’t have any control on the design of Disqus; the users are pretty limited as well.
