have comments disappeared on all posts / pages? You can try to check comment on Edit page (box on the right side) – comments can be set per post/page or global.
Yes, they disappear on all posts and pages as soon as I activate the plugin. I have the Swank theme (Genesis) if that helps.

can you uninstall current plugin version (it’s safe as it doesn’t delete anything) and install plugin from this URL https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/free-google-fonts.zip ?
I was unable to reproduce that issue and I don’t have your Swank theme so this fix is a blind shot.
Hi. Not to jump on anyones thread but I just wanted to let you know I am also having he same problem as @tvirtual. When I activate the plugin, my comments disappear. I am also running Genesis but using a different childtheme.

I uninstalled the version of the plugin I had and installed the one from the link you sent over, but I am still having the same issue.
