I am running a bilingual website with the polylang plugin and I was able
to setup my galleries in my french pages but my galleries are not showing up
in my english pages using the same shortcode:
fr
http://www.fbphoto.ca/geisha-et-maiko-de-gion/
en
http://www.fbphoto.ca/geisha-and-maiko-of-gion/

This is an issue cause by the Polylang plugin. The solution I was is to uncheck ‘Activate languages and translations for media’ in Settings->Lanugages->Settings.
