Menu on mobile devices
-
Hey there,
The menu on mobile devices behaves weirdly. It’s either a drop down list of the menu sections or it is just an icon. When I click on the icon it just transforms to the same size icon with an “X” sign. When I click on it the actual menu open but the website starts refreshing automatically and takes me back to the initial position.
How can I fix that?
Thanks!

Hi mtotev,
Please could you let me know which browser you’re using and the URL to your site?
Please could you also let me know if it works for you on http://www.maxmegamenu.com?

TomHey Tom,
URL: http://www.travelsmart.bg
The phone I tested it on is a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini using Internet explorer and Google Chrome.Yes, it opens http://www.maxmegamenu.com? normally.
Thanks for the assistance.
MartinHi Martin,
Thanks for the link.
Please see this link: http://www.maxmegamenu.com/documentation/removing-residual-styling/
You will need to edit your themes header template and remove the
<ul>that is wrapping the menu (http://screencast.com/t/xWehBl0KD)Regards,
TomThanks. I’ll follow your instructions.
Appreciated.Hi there,
Great Plugin, I’m just having an issue with the responsive aspect..my client doesn’t want me to have her site responsive, so I have turned that option off in the theme, however the menu is still displaying as responsive on iphone and ipad using safari, and when you click on the single ‘menu’ link thats there nothing happens, but i’m digressing, she wants the full menu thats viewable on desktop, I have increased the width setting and kept trying it to no avail, any ideas how I can do this? the site is http://www.cashclotheswestmids.co.uk
Thanks in Advance.
ChrisHi Chris,
Try setting the responsive breakpoint (in the Menu Theme) to 0px to effectively disable the responsive menu.

TomHi tom,
Thanks for the reply, I did try that but it didn’t work unfortunately :(, anything else I can try?
Best regards
ChrisHi Chris,
I don’t see a menu at all on http://www.cashclotheswestmids.co.uk at the moment, not even the mobile one (see the ‘removing residual styling’ link above to fix that).
It looks like the responsive breakpoint is set to 2000px (my screen isn’t that wide), please could you make sure you’ve edited the correct menu theme?
Regards,
TomHi Tom,
I just tried again at setting it to 0px, and it looks like it worked! I must not have cleared my cache or something because I couldn’t get it to work earlier this morning.
Thanks for all your help, I am sure I will use this great plugin again, at last a cure for boring header menus!
Cheers mate,
Best Regards
ChrisHi Chris,
Good to see that’s working now!
Please consider leaving a review if you have a spare minute or 2 π
Regards,
Tom
