Moving from Free WordPress.Com to Self-Hosted

I have a faculty member here at the college who has his own blog on the free wordpress.com site. The college also has a commercial version of WordPress running on its own server. The faculty member wants to know if there’s a straightforward way to move his free site to the college-hosted server.
