I’m working on a custom template in nextgen 2.0 and I do not have server or wordpress cache turned on. However, the template file is being cached somewhere withing nextgen, because updates are not recognized. If I rename the template each time I change it then I can see the changes.

How can I turn off the nextgen template caching mechanism, or refresh it?

    Thanks

@ajd – There could be a few factors involved here, but basically look at clearing the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous … and use a new anonymous browser window to view each iteration of your custom template.

    Thanks!

Okay thanks. It would be nice if during development it was possible to turn off the cache.

@ajd – The cache automatically clears on its own … but I do understand the inconvenience it can sometimes (although extremely rarely) cause while trying to ensure your changes are being rendered correctly.
