Hi anyone,
I installed this plugin and insert the below code in the theme function.php, the footer/site is still taking over in front of the chat area (no changed)? Can anyone show me what did I do wrong?
add_filter(‘show_admin_bar’, ‘__return_false’);
Thanks,
Jimmy

Hello Jimmy,
If you could provide an image that would be great,
If not then tell me what theme you are using.
Thanks.Hi Ruddernation,
The theme is a custom dating theme (this child theme), this is the image (overlay can scroll up/down still), as you can see the regular theme page (i.e. member profile) is overlaying this chat area OR the chat page is going under. I had tried so many different things inside the admin and that code inside the function.php. No luck.
Here is the screen shot: http://www.lovedisabled.com/wp-content/over.JPG
Please help,
Thanks,
jimmyHello Jimmy,
That have nothing to do with the PHP code in your functions.php,
You’ll need to change the CSS either on the plugin or on the theme,
I’m just in the process of updating the plugin, If you could let me know if it has worked then please let me know.Thanks.
Hi Ruddernation,
Can you let me know what I need to change or insert in the CSS ? Can you help me to fix this? I can pay you for it if not too much.. Give me a quote and your paypal email address. I can send you the money if something I can afford?
Please help,
Thanks,
JimmyHello Jimmy,
There shouldn’t be a need for that now, I’ve added the new css to the plugin, If you update the plugin and let me know if the changes I’ve added to the plugin work or not.
Thanks.
Hi Ruddernation,
I just updated this chat plug-in, even cleared the cache and refresh. No luck?
I even went to the theme inside the Miscellaneous tab, there is phase associated with toolbar and is already set under OFF. Still no luck?
Admin toolbar
Enable or disable wordpress default top toolbar (OFF)Please help,
Thanks,
JimmyHello Jimmy,
That should really of worked,
Are you able to inspect the element of the theme to show the css itself?
Also what browser are you using?
If you could provide a download link to the theme that would be great as I’ve tested this on the wordpress child theme only, So if it’s based off that then it should of worked.Hi Ruddernation,
I actually used both IE and FF so I can see the differences. Anything thing inside the theme CSS seems working for the whole site. (they all are mainly for the font sizes, color).
Yes, the child theme is active for this site. The parent theme is not active.
Is there suppose to have some kind of chat menu on the admin area for setting, if yes, I don’t see it but only this plug-in being active, maybe that’s why?
Yes, it should be good from the updated, and a simple fix somewhere inside the theme admin, I myself can’t see it (knowledge). can I give you my admin user/password if this ok with you?
Please help,
Thanks,
JimmyHi Ruddernation,
I now just remembered would this overlay got anything to this below (chat.js)? Because I didn’t do anything to this js, like where to change, embed, download, etc, I have no idea how..
http://tinychat.com/embed/chat.js.
Thanks,
jimmyHello Jimmy,
That is the javascript file that is used to load the chat,
I can see that the chat loads so that is not an issue,
The problem is with the css, The chat should be on top of everything,
That can be achieved with css, But the css code is affected by each browser,
I’ll do another update once I’ve tested with a few more browsers. Also there is no settings to change in the admin area.
Hello Jimmy,
I’ve now done a new update version 1.2.5
Once updated please clear your cache and do a hard refresh and try again,
I’ve test now on multiple templates and also Chrome,Firefox,Opera and Internet Explorer and it is working fine with nothing showing above. If all else fails then I suggest you deactivate the plugin then delete it,
Then clear your cache, refresh and logout then log back in and install and try again, If it’s still not how it’s suppose to be then you’re going have to provide me with an account to check it for you.Regards,
Rudder.
Hi Ruddernation,
OMG, It works GREAT!!! I updated the plugin, refreshed and the overlay went away (smile)!
May I ask what did you do, if you did something to the CSS, do I need to insert anything in my theme CSS for future reference?
Is there a way I can make the image someway larger? How this work, let’s say if other 15 members are on the room, will all 15 of their image go live able to see each others as well?
OMG, you the greatest! At least I know is not my theme blocking something.
Thanks for very much for your hard work,
JimmyHello Jimmy,
Glad it works for you, I had to make sure the chat divs were aligned on all themes so I had to add z-index and add it to 9999 so I knew it would be over everything else, Also you can have upto 12 on camera/audio at the sametime on this chat, Please give me a rating 🙂
Regards,
Rudder.
Hi Ruddernation,

Jimmy
