What is my ‘mySQL’ username?!?

    I’m trying to install WP onto my site and I cannot get it to work.

    I’m pretty sure I do not have my ‘mySQL’ username correct.
    What is it? I signed up for mySQL, but it never asked for or gave me a username. Is it my e-mail address?

    no-one here can tell you that. Thats information given to you by your webhost. You need to contact them for that information.

    Well if the domain that is linked in your profile is the domain in question–that domain seems to be hosted by 1and1.com and with that host, when you create the MySQL database, it creates the user and the password, and it displays that information along with the host/server.

    Typically if the Database name is like db12345678 then the database user will be dbo12345678.
