What happens exactly? Does it show the plain-text short code? Does it show anything at all?

Try deactivating all other plugins on your site. Does it work then?
Try it with the default Twenty Twelve theme.
Does it work then?
Hi Pippin,
This may or may not be related, but I am getting the same symptoms when using the shortcode within the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and Page Builder.
In my case, I used the generic WordPress text widget and it worked as expected.
Would you like me to cross-post this on their support forums as well?
Do those work as expected with the default theme?
