plain html files in WordPress

    *** Multi site installation.
    One of the sites has a static page that they want outside the standard WP look and feel. Where do I put this file in WP ?
    In the past I could drop the file to a path recognized by the web server say:
    mysite.com –> main site
    mysite.com/mypage/index.html –> my custom page.
    Rest of the site is on WP.

    Eeeeeeh. Why not make a custom page template for them to use instead?

    You can do this, but the how depends on if you’re subdomains or subfolders.

    Ick. It’s going to be a mess.

    Why not the custom page template in WP? What’s so special about mypage that it can’t be in WP?

    Migrating existing page. This page is distributed via clickable image map that got distributed across and I cannot change the URL or the look and feel.
