Moving/installing from one server to another

I currently maintain a website for my company that is hosted on another company’s server (WordPress design/setup was outsourced before I got here). We are looking to move the site to a static site on our mediatemple server with the blog section setup in WordPress, what’s the best way to go about this?

(For clarification, currently the entire site is WP, new site would only have blog section be in WP, all hosted on media temple)
