Hey Omar,
Thanks for getting in touch.
Have you tried excluding the entire uploads folder to see if that helps?
Perhaps enable support and I can have a better look at your server setup.
Cheers!

Hi Owain — Yes I have and it still does it.
I have it (enable support) enabled. What can I do next?
Thanks!
Omar
PS: I also have an image-heavy Nextgen galley collection. I excepted that folder, and guess what, now it works. So I suppose there’s a limit on how big the backup can be? Is that something I/hosting can control, or it a parameter of the plugin?
But thanks for steering me in the right direction!
Omar
I was about to buy your extension to backup to G Drive but if this is limited by size, I won’t bother. One of my sits is a photography site, currently about 2GB. Will your plugin work with this?
same here! ‘complete weekly’ only saves the database dump, files are missing. it started after upgrading to latest wordpress 4.1
thanks & greetings

Hey guys,
So generally speaking, if backups aren’t completing the backup process is getting killed/ending prematurely.
Commonly this is a combination of limited server resources coupled and/or large site size.
I recommend you take a look at this page: https://bwp.hmn.md/support-center/troubleshooting/#bkpspin
@jimbo,
If the free version of BackUpWordPress can create a backup, the GD Extension shouldn’t have any troubles. If you do run into any issues just let me know and we can work on a solution, or in a worst case scenario give you a refund.
Cheers!
Owain
