    Hello,
I have searched the forum for my issue and don’t find anything that will help.

I am using WordPress 4.0.1 on a windows classic server (Using GoDaddy as my provider).

I cannot upload any media to my folders on the webserver. It gives the error:

“Unable to create directory uploads/2014/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

First, the directories are already there since I used them for my website already.
Secondly, I have looked at the wp-content folders of the root directory and see that it is read/write. I have proved this to my satisfaction by 1.) uploading files the the directory and 2.) FTP files to the directory.

I have contacted GoDaddy support to insure that the wp-content folder and all sub-folders are read/write and they are.

Two things that I see within WordPress is, first it gives the above error for any type of media file I attempt to add and that the files listed in the Media area of WordPress do not see all of the files. It sees 12 media files but the folder contains (on the server side) over 20 media files.

I hope that I have explained my problem enough for some help on this. I am new to using WordPress but not new to the technical side of websites.

    Thank you for any suggestions.
    Joe
