Database Update Required

    We restored a previous copy of our WordPress site that was at 3.9.2. We were at 4.0.1 prior to the restoration. Now I am unable to login without updating WordPress. Here is the message I get when I try to login:

    Database Update Required

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    I wanted to go to a previous version of WordPress because of some plugin problems we were having at 4.0.1. Any ideas of how to get around updating the database to 4.0.1?

    Hi,

    What happens when you click the button to upgrade the database? It ought to then tell you that it did, and that you can now log in – does something different happen for you?
