This sounds like it could be a jQuery conflict caused by another plugin or your theme. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?
I am having the same issue since the latest update. I turned off all plugins except for EM and the event saved. Turned on one plugin back on(Akismet) EM wouldn’t save…throwed the same error. Turn it back off. EM still wouldn’t save. Will roll back to last version and will follow this thread to see if there is a fix.

I rolled back to the last version too and everything is working correctly now. Waiting for EM developer to fix in next update.

I am having the same problem. We are trying to create a recurring event on Sundays only and we get “Please speficy what days of the week this event should occur on.” It still occurs when all other plugins were deactivated.

The new version is broken, you will need to use the previous version of the plugin in order for it to work for you.
Stan, just roll back to older version available under Developer tab of the plugin page.
I also wanted to downgrade, but when I activate developersversion, I have no option of selecting another file or version, so I must do something wrong…

Download the version from the link above. I deactivated the events manager in the Plugins panel. I used FTP to replace the currently installed version to the slightly older version. Then reactivated.
