Required PHP XSL Module Not Installed
-
Hello,
I’ve been experiencing some issues with the recent updated version of the plugin. In the settings page of the plugin, I see something weird. I can’t check the box reading “Include sitemap in HTML format” and strangely enough in the brackets I also see this message: “The Required PHP XSL Module is not installed”. I’m using this same plugin on many other websites of mine and even though I’ve updated the plugin to the latest version there too, I don’t see this issue there. Still that box is checked and the message in the brackets can’t be seen.
I contacted my hosting provider and this is what they told me: “I did look it up a bit, and it seems to be related to one of our disallowed plugins, http://wpengine.com/support/disallowed-plugins/, W3 Total Cache. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sitemap_indexxml-page-not-found-error-404-405 – this article explains the issues with it there. This may be related to our caching.
Can you follow-up with the plugin developers to see if there is something similar that needs to be set on our platform, as I am not certain if this is something that needs to be addressed or not, I can’t say if it isn’t a problem or not.”
To inform you, I don’t use W3 Total Cache, as my hosting provider doesn’t allow using this plugin at all. Could you please tell me how to fix that problem?
Regards
Edmond
