inserting album not possible anymore

    since updating to WP 4.0.1 and NGG 2.0.66.33 Galleries/Album are not showing correctly anymore.

    1. We always had a page where an album is insterted by short code: [album id=2 template=extend]
    This album still shows on the page, but clicking on a gallery shows a 404 page not found.

    2. I tried to reenter the album in a page with the green button of NGG whitin page editor. in the popup it’s not possible to select an album option. when i click on one the options just duplicate in the popup and it’s still not possible to select any album option, only gallery options.

    When I choose my album as “sources” in next option row and insert into page this is what the page shows (“Default Gallery Type Template …bal bla”):

    Any solution?!? Just want my old album and galleries back 🙁

    @flowliver – I would suspect a conflict of sorts to be happening with your site … have you checked for conflicts with other active plugins?

    Thanks Cais, looks like “Lightbox 2” (current version 2.9.2) is the plugin making problems to insert the album. After deactivating it I could reinsert the album and everything worked fine. However it still doesn’t work on the page it always was. I can reinsert the album here but still linked galleries produce 404. I had to create a new page and therefore it’s now on a different URL, which sucks.

    @flowliver – Did you try clearing the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous as well?

    Yes, I do exactly the same, no matter how often I repeat it, the album won’t work on this one page any more.

    Maybe some sort of permalink problem? Cache, redirects, corrupt database, … ?

    What else could it be? I copied the exact same text/code on both pages (except for the red paragraph) and insterted the album the same way.

    @flowliver – In very rare (and mostly unexplainable) cases, the page itself is the problem and it may need to be removed and re-added … have you tried that?
