• My wife just started blogging at her domain. She is using WordPress, just like me, although she may be using a slightly newer version than me.

Here is the problem: When she installs a new theme, sometimes she can’t use the Visual editor. It’s very strange. She can fill in the title, but the editor window won’t accept the cursor, so she can’t type. She can’t switch to the code view either. If I fool around with it enough, sometimes I can get it to work, but then it misbehaves again. If she switches back to Kubrick (the default theme), everything seems to work fine.

What could be the problem here? I thought maybe one of the themes she downloaded was fubar, but the same thing seems to happen with more than one theme. They can’t all be fubar in the same manner, can they? Also, I didn’t think the themes had anything to do with the functionality of the Visual editor (or any of the other admin features). But the one thing that always resolves the problem is switching back to the default theme.

    Ideas?
