post counts stopped updating

    Hi

    I have tried to resolve by reading the other posts however have had no success. On the 10th November the posts stopped counting. I have tried

    Resetting the daily counts
    Reset to defaults
    Removing and readding widget
    Totally deleted and readded the plugin.
    I have the author box selected and saved.

    The tables get created, however do not seem to populate.

    Blog_top_ten_daily

    Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

    Hi, it seems like the code to add the counter is generating a HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error

    This isn’t something I have seen happen so far. Do you know if something changed on your server that causes this issue?

    Might be worth checking with your host as well.

    thanks, will take a look on the server side. Will post back if I figure it out.

    Hi just to let others know if they have this problem, I changed the permissions on the plugin folder from 777 to 755.

    I was getting this error in the logs

    “SoftException in Application.cpp:629: Directory is writeable by group”

    Did some googling and found that fix.
