• What’s up guys-

    QUERY:

When I open and edit the wp-config.sample file with notepad, and rename it wp-config.php, I’t doesn’t look like it’s original self, it turned into a notepad file but it still says php file… and all the other files in my wordpress folder also turned into notepad files, but they still have their original names. How do I fix this??

    THANKS in advance-

  • It’s how you save it. Get a new copy of the file, edit it, and save it as:

    Save as type: All Files
    Encoding: UTF-8

    Hope this helps,

Ok I did that but when I downloaded the file on to my computer it automatically looks like a notepad file-

When I save it as you specified it still doesn’t revert to its original appearence. They still look like notepad files!
