Portfolio Header problem

    Hi guys!

    I am using theme called The Way on my website and there’s something weird happening there and I can’t figure out whether it’s some plugin acting up or what!?

    If you go to any of my portfolio pages, let’s say this one for instance, you will see that there’s a quote that I inserted and after that there is a piece of text ‘Category: Product #: Regular price:$ (Sale ends !) Available from:…’ which is not there when I look at the edit page:

    What the heck is that? What should I do to get rid of it?

    Hey there,

    Since you are using a paid theme (one that is not available with Themes>Add New from the WP admin area) we can’t be of much help here.

    Having said that, I did a little looking. Without access to your theme or all the plugins you are using, I can’t determine where the extra text is coming from. I do see that the text is of class top-subtext, and that it looks like it is being truncated to a certain number of characters.

    I would tell you to add some styling to hide that class, but you need to keep it for your quotes.

    The only plugins I can tell that you are using are Contact Form 7, a page builder, and a genericon plugin. I don’t *think* any of those would add text relating to product pricing.

    The only advice I can offer is to deactivate all of your plugins, then activate them back one at a time, clearing your cache and refreshing the page each time before activating the next one, to see if which (if any) plugin is adding that text.

    If you find a plugin doing that, you will need to put in a support request in that plugin’s support forum.

    If there is no plugin doing it, then it is a function of your theme, and you will need to go to their website and put in a support question there.

    I have deactivated all the plugins, and activated them back one by one, seems weird, but actually, it worked. I still can’t understand what caused it, but they disappeared.

    Have you considered asking the theme author for support? That’s not something we are able to assist you with here.

    For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site.

    As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. As you are their customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
