• I’ve downloaded version 4.0 and everything was fine. Then someone hacked my site so there was a pop-up site to accompany it. See: http://www.xandermichael.com.

Dealing with my host provider they just now found that the problem was related to the hit counter. However before they discovered this, I downloaded a malware scanner plugin called Securi Security, recommended by WordPress. (https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=malware+scanner)

After downloading it, I clicked to activate it and since then I have not been able to access my site at all. I get to the log in page, put in my information and then the dashboard seems to be loading, but the page remains blank and never loads.

Any ideas on how to amend this issue?

try deleting the folder of that plugin via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides
