Special Characters Help

We are still recovering from a few small things that were changed on our wp site that was severely hacked a few months ago. One of the lasting effects is that all of the special characters, such as $ or %, have been changed to ’. We could change them all manually but this would take a very long time as we have hundreds of pages. Is there a plugin or a way to search the text and change all of these automatically?
