• I have used WordPress for a blog, and I have registered a domain name. All went well. Now I have another blog under my account, and I would like to use the new blog and leave the old one unaltered. However my domain name? Website name? leads only to the old blog, please can someone help? Sorry if I use the wrong terms of if too simple a question. I’ve just started a new course and I really need to be able to state a web address and get blogging again. thanks so much

I’m not 100% sure what you mean. Did you follow this guide? https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

Thank you for replying. I have tried to read the above guide thank you but I’m not sure it is relevant.
I am sorry am I am not clear. I will try to use even simpler language as I think it is my own lack of clarity that is the problem.

I have enjoyed using WordPress, it is easy to use even if you don’t understand how it works!

I had one main blog, and I have paid the fee so that my blog can be accessed through the address of lindasusanwilliams.com, which I call my “website address”, this worked well through my student days. Forgive my ignorance if necessary, I not only had a student card but also a senior railcard at the same time.

In “my WordPress” I had some other blogs. As I progress in my studies I would like to leave my old blog unaltered, and carry on with one of my others, to document my MA studies.
Can I alter things so that if one looks up “my web address” it links in to another of my blogs instead of the old one? I keep being asked to supply a web address but the the one that describes me best just leads straight to my old work.

Thanks for attention which I appreciate

    Ah, ok, I see now.

http://lindasusanwilliams.com/ is a WordPress.com blog, which we really can’t help with here.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.com has complete documentation and support contacts at http://support.wordpress.com/
