    Hi there,

Love the plugin, though I am setting this up as a “portal” for both customers & partners to access different information. I have added the Extended Permissions add-on, which works great, however I have a deal of documents which fall under categories such as “Policies”, “Forms”, “Sales/Marketing Materials” and “Procedures” that are only to be seen by partners, and “Support”, “Guides” etc. that are only to be seen by Customers.

The problem I am having is by categorising the documents to make it easier to find what the partner or customer wants, there seems to be no way of hiding categories from the other roles? Is there a way to do this?

I have just tried to solve this by adding the “Restrict Categories” plugin, however the private categories I have created within the Customer Area plugin do not show in this other plugin…

Any other thoughts would be very welcomed!

    hi,

this is currently not really possible with the plugin itself. Maybe “Restrict Categories” does not handle custom taxonomies, have you tried asking that plugin’s developer?
