I am trying to make an about page for the user of this blog, is there a template to use for just an about page with no side bars? Also is there a way to add widgets to the footer?

Hi

You can use default page template to add widget on the footer area.

Hi

And if you want to remove sidebar from the page template .

Open the page.php file and find the below line of code

<?php get_sidebar();?>

And Remove it
