• Hi everyone, I’m new here and new to wp.
I’m planning to make a website and a related mobile app, but, as I’ve never used wp before, I need to know if I can do exactly what I have to.
My website will have a calendar (I checked some plugins already) and many users. The users can login to the website and then perform some changing to the calendar (anything else). I checked the roles docs and seems like I can assign with add/remove a specific role/cap to each user. I guess this also depends from the calendar plugin right?

Also, I’d like to track the last (let’s say 10) modifications that were made by the users and to set some days of the calendar as “unchangeable” for others than me.

Will wp allows me to do all this stuff?
Of course I can program php, sql ecc..

    Thanks in advance
    B.

Those are good questions! But the answer really is “it depends fully on the capabilities of the calendar plugin”.

Give these 2 plugin searches a look, one of those may work for you or at least get you started.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=calendar
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=events

I’ve used this one myself but not for those complex requirements you’ve listed above.

I just needed to searh for plugins..actually I found what I needed..and I tried many of them, then yes, you’re right..it fully depends on the plugin! I found My Calendar plugin gives me what I need..it’s really well made, many many settings to customize (permission to insert events ecc), also capable to manage categories to create many “different” calendars..really REALLY nice..thank you! my next step will be trying to build a phone app to manage it 😉
    cheers
