Trackbacks

I’ve just started receiving email notifications about trackbacks waiting for my approval, I’ve had about 30 in the last 3 days all lead to a shop selling handbags but the link url doesn’t match the shops. It says the post is linked to my nivo slider ! Ive installed the simple trackback plugin which picks up the spam posts and I have comments and trackbacks turned off.

I’m not too sure what is going on with these spam comments, it’s not possible to comment on my slider (which isn’t used on my site) I have no comments on any of my posts, apart from an annoyance to me what is the point of these spam comments.
