Hi there,
Your source code shows that you’ve told your wordpress install to go http://claraannphotography.com/blog/ which looks like it needs to be changed, as this isnt where your files are saved – they are saved in http://claraannphotography.com/
i.e. your wordpress install is NOT in the subfolder /blog/
what you need to do is login to your hosting account and then phpmyadmin and change your home url and site url to http://claraannphotography.com/ (without the blog)
I can’t login to my hosting account.
It tells me that I haven’t logged in since 2011 and that I need to change my password.
When I try to do that, the email never gets to me.
When I try to contact them to say that I’m not getting the emails, it sends me a Failure to Deliver email
I am so over wordpress
And I have no idea what phpmyadmin is.
I tried to download it, and I did.
But I don’t know how to install it.
Nor do I know what it is for or how to use it
Is there any way to report the page or something so that it just gets deleted?
So I can start over?
By the looks of it you host with hostgator. Have you tried contacting them via instant chat?
definitely get your hosting account login details from your host and then you will be able to access phpmyadmin
Hi Clarannphotography. I cannot give you knowledge because I’m not much of tech person myself. What I can give you is hope. I have been where you are I was so completely frustrated I wanted to give up wp.org. But I stayed with it and now have a great site that gets hundreds of hits each day.
HANG IN THERE! And ask the right questions here and with Hostgator and you’ll get it figured out.
Pat
You started this post with “I don’t know what I’m Doing”
Not criticizing here. If this is a working important website, see if Hostgator can restore it from their backup.
Next, if you have a multiple site account, set up a different website and practice learning WordPress there. There are lots of training videos on Youtube that can help you get your feet wet.
If you didn’t know anything about auto mechanics would you just jump in and try to change your brakes?
WordPress is not learned overnight and it’s not as easy as some people make it out to be. Take your time.
First of all I want to start by saying thank you to everyone for the kind words of encouragement. That is a rare thing now. ESPECIALLY when it comes to talking with people online. People are usually far more abrasive when sitting behind a keyboard. So that was VERY refreshing.
Secondly, I have fixed the problem! =]
The tears dried up, I put on my big girl panties and did it.
Again, thank you for being so kind!
I haven’t shut out WordPress completely now haha
