• Hello. I’m having trouble authorizing. I get the Error 77. I have called GoDaddy as your notes suggest. They checked cURL and it’s all active. And there is no SSL cert on this hosting. Any suggestions?

This is what is in my URL after trying to authorize:
    /wp-admin/tools.php?page=add-link-to-facebook/add-link-to-facebook.php&al2fb_action=error&error=cURL+communication+error+77+error+setting+certificate+verify+locations…..

    Thank you for any help.

  • I am sorry, but there is only support for pro version users. If you are a pro version user, please reply to the pro version activation instructions to get support. There is an extensive FAQ, which might help you solve your problem or answer your question.

The FAQ is correct, this is a problem caused by your hosting provider.

Okay. FYI for other readers: I was told by GoDaddy that Facebook is requiring a SSL cert for domains to connect with apps. Don’t know how accurate this is, but I have another site that this plugin stopped working on that is not on GoDaddy, so this info my be correct.

With all the recent SSL security problems things should be kept up-to-date. Facebook does and I do too. The plugin is for example bundled with the latest security certificates.

One word of advice: don’t let you sell a security certificate, It won’t solve anything. This is a configuration problem your hosting provider needs to solve.
