How to create custom templates?

Ok, I think I got it (followed the instructions from here: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/templates).

But how do I now use my custom teplate via shortcode? The above mentioned page says: p.e. [ nggallery id=1 template=templatename ] (without brackets) but this doesnt work and also seems to be an outdated version…?

@tizz, yes sorry, I wrote too fast but meant of course spaces instead of brackets 🙂
Found a solution in the meantime so I will now close this topic.
