I have tried posting several times with what I’m sure is a simple question to the WP masters that live here, but I can’t seem to get a response. I can read my post, so I’m sure they are live.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not angry or frustrated, just need a little help.

I posted the Meta Tags post. Just a quick yes or no would suffice. Should I insert meta tags in my index.php file, or will, ” Another WordPress Meta Plug In” do this for me? Or both?

    Thanks

Just like you, I am simply a member here. Take my advice with a grain of salt. I use a different plugin that generates keywords automatically. The keywords it chooses, however, are not the ones I consider to be most important. It obviously chooses words that show up more frequently in the text of the page. If your plugin does the same thing, then you probably should include keywords of your own choosing. Just be sure that the keyword is really somewhere in the content of the page, or the search engines will disregard that particular word. Ideally, your favorite keywords should also be contained in the content of the page more than a few times.

You’re probably not getting an answer because there are about 100 differing opinions on it.
Do a search on “SEO” or “Search Engine Optimization”.

Here’s what WordPress codex (always a good place to start) says:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Search_Engine_Optimization_for_Wordpress

    Topics on it:
