Wp cal not working as expected

My wp cal installation is not working the way it should. When I click on the dates and go to edit entry, instead of bringing up the extension edit fields, it brings up the word press page editor. I get no errors but I know this is not the way it is suppose to behave. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.
