Turn to Horizontal is an original, but still rare, solution to display in one (or sometimes more) page a low quantity of text and big images like does, for example, portfolios or design publications. Every short review is focused to enlight layout and communication aspects [including some ideas from obsolete don’t try this at home! nested tables ones ] I found interesting for the creation of an ‘ideal’ horizontal website. What are you asking for? Someone to do all the work for you? Or someone to point you in the right direction? You say you’re not much of a coder and if that’s the case, you shouldn’t have much trouble with adapting it to WP. Spend some time in the Codex first, especially the stuff on using themes.

Hi to all, i did download the template, i thought, i won’t mention it cause it speaks for itself. As you may have seen, this template provided by that site is not a wordpress template. If that was the case, i didn’t need to ask any questions here would i? So that still leaves me emptyhanded 🙂
—> To “pizdin_dim”, off course it would be easier to have someone to do the work for me, but that way i won’t learn a thing about creating such a template. So, yes, a few pointers would be very appreciated. I also took a look in the codex pages, but couldn’t really find anything that handles this question. So maybe if you have a few pointers?….

i have enough time to kill to read some of these posts. the horizontal execution is pretty cool. i can’t help you, sorry. there is quite a variety of looks! if/when i have the time or inclination i would bird dog some of those sites in the index and see if a site owner can light the way.

As i said, i couldn’t find anything here that was of help for me. Maybe i’m not looking in the right direction,and maybe i don’t know what to look for in general, but if someone could give me some concrete handles, so i can start doing something which eventually results in having my wordpress page set up like the one descriped above.

i have not tried to learn how to do this but i did spend a minute or two (like 30!) seeing if there was indeed info. i am sure you have seen this…

I’m looking for a horizontal theme as well, only found one “EnglishMan”, didn’t work too well…
The horizontal way is not a WP theme, it’s just html,css, and js files
It can be done simply by floating the post “divs” to left in CSS.
