Drop the ewwwio_images table, and remove everything with ‘ewww’ from the options table.

Then you’ll have to do that for each site. Not sure why it matters, the data doesn’t get used if the plugin isn’t installed.

I installed this and then couldnt add media to posts. Have uninstalled and its still as if my media library is empty when I go to add images. The timer just keeps going round and round. Do I have to delete stuff from the server files in the back end (dont know much about this type of thing)

If you’ve uninstalled EWWW IO, and still have problems, then EWWW IO wasn’t the problem. If you’re not convinced, delete the plugin (you can do this directly from the Plugins page if you haven’t already). Once the plugin is gone, it cannot affect your site at all.

Deleted it but still having trouble accessing the media library.

Disable all plugins, then re-enable them one at a time. It obviously isn’t EWWW IO, but you will have a hard time tracking it down without disabling everything first.

Hi, GusRyan100..In my experience it might be another plugin not ewwww..

Deactivated them all and still nothing, ewwwio is deleted too. Everything worked before installing ewwwio but maybe its just coincidence

OK problem solved. I downloaded WP 4.0 again and that shifted what ever was casing the issue. Maybe it was coincidence with installing EWWW IO.
Also, I uninstalled it because i didnt have gifsicle and something else for PNG’s. Could I suggest you do a YouTube on how to install these?
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.

Unfortunately, optipng and gifsicle can vary too much to make a reliable video beyond what is in the installation instructions. If you have shell access, start a new thread for that issue, and I’ll see if I can walk you through it if you have problems.
