issue with header

Hi, great plugin! thanks a lot
the only problem I have is with the header of my site, by default show the bar over the logo, I try the css codes suggesting by you guys but I cant make it work
the closest thing I get is with this css “top: 40; padding:0; margin:0; width: 100%; z-index: 99999;” it said push the content down but the header lost their transparency
any hint?
