Site getting slower and slower

    Hi, this is my first post so please be gentle!

    I am running a site on WordPress 4.0 with multisite enabled using sub directories (only 1) on a linux machine. And over the last few months has been getting slower and slower, I have done the normal and cleaned up the DB, optimized the tables, removed all unused plugins but it just doesn’t seem to be helping.

    I was running the DNS through cloudflare however initially thought that may have been the problem but it hasn’t helps reverting.

    The site only has about 50 pages and gets about 100 people a day so it’s not even under a huge amount of load.

    When I profile the site through Chrome it is the initial GET that is taking about 23 seconds currently, however I have another wordpress site with the same hosting spec and don’t have any issues with it.

    The only thing I can think of is it’s the multisite, but seems odd WordPress shpping with this issue….

    Any help or suggestions appreciated

    I suggest to look at the queries/calls/processes the site is making, maybe you’ll find some info there. I use a nice plugin called Query Monitor for that.

    Hi,

    Try running your site through something like webpagetest.org or gtmetrix. You should be able to get an idea of where some of the issues are.
