About 1 to 7 megabyte. I’m test it with under 1 meg files also.
all off theme be damage.

I’m upload it from edd download post type editor and it’s store in : wp-content/upload/edd/….

i use WinRAR but i test it with winzip and 7zip and other programs.
I’m think this problem only related to direct mode of EDD plugin. because when i use WordPress standard Uploader or EDD redirect mode all things work correctly.
