Display Map as image – error while loading

Hey,

I tried to set up a Map widget on my website and tried to set the map as image,but while loading the page I get the following error:

GET http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=49.8263111%2C18.1863829000…ensor=false&language=en&markers=color:red|label:none|49.8263111,18.1863829 403 (Forbidden)

I am not sure about how the “Display as Image” is supposed to work,but I have a weird image instead of a map..when i click on that weird image, the popup works fine..
Could you please tell me,how this “Display Map as image” feature is supposed to work? Cos it seems to be a bug..

Hello.
I see normal widget image, http://maps.google.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=49.8263111%2C18.186382900000012&zoom=8&size=175×175&maptype=ROADMAP&sensor=false&language=en&markers=color:red|label:none|49.8263111,18.1863829 – is it’s src, you can even try to open it in browser. I can send you even screenshot. It just update to normal image after page load. Tested in Firefox and chrome. Try to clear your cache.

I ve just updated the plugin with the update available, it seemed to work(while the page was loading),but still get the same error after the page loads completely..like the image is blocked somehow

This is really good, but I just must to say – that we didn’t imporve this feature in new release. In any case – I glad that it is working for you, hope you will like our software.

hey, you re right. it seems to work now.kinda magic..in my opinion it’s a good idea to use the image. i have a question,though:

is there a way to set dimensions of the generated image? it’s 175x175px, i d like it to be bigger.

I think – yes, in next release we will try to add such feature, I think it will come in Monday.

Hey,

yes it works well!Thank you! Your maps plugin is very good, I liked it -especially because of the image – it loads faster than a standard map. I’ll add a review when I have more time.
