I’ve deactivated all plugins and switched to a Twenty-something theme. No avail.
@dtulloss – What are you using to insert the slideshow into the page? Did you use the IGW (“green button”) or did you use a shortcode?
Can you provide a link to the page so we can see what is happening on it?

‘Link to Page’ on the Manage Galleries interface. That doesn’t seem like the right thing to do given your options. Where do I find a shortcode generator or the IGW?

The WP install is in this directory, but will eventually run from http://www.thejokehole.com. If that’s a problem, is there an option I can set to run from this directory and unset when it’s time to launch?
Aha. User too stupid error. For some reason, I thought I could add galleries via your settings interfaces vs. the page editor. Thanks for helping. Any other issues (there seem to be a few) I can’t resolve, I’ll put in another thread.
