Problems with "&"

I have seen several times that if a custom taxonomy has “&” in its name, the plugin would sometimes create a second entry with the same name as term. This is highly problematic and can be deleted only through manually editing the database, i have found.

But there is a workaround: use the slug instead of the term name itself or use htmlentities for these signs.
