Old post is displaying first.

Hi, I am new to wordpress so I don’t really know my way around yet but I am having a problem with an old post remaining is pole position, so to speak. I guess I have somehow given it a type of priority but I don’t know. Can anyone help me?
In my new blog post no. 1 should be post no.3.

Are you using the adhesive plugin or some other “sticky” sort of functionality?
Thanks for your reply. I am not using any plugin for that function to my knowledge.
I am using only four plugins at the moment
wp-notable
wp-amazon
widgets
del.icio.us widgetWell, it’s not any of those far as I know. There was a fairly long thread on here a while back about this sort of thing. I got really ill before it got resolved – and don’t know if it ever did. Let me see if I can find it….
Well, I found the thread I remembered, but it’s really about RSS feeds. This is the link, you can read it over and see if it has any relevance:
1) Check each post’s timestamp. Did you adjust any of them?
2) Does it happen with the Default theme? If not, does your current theme have a functions file of its own?
Thanks again for you reply. Thats post was interesting but the solution was a little technical. I think I will try to just delete the posts and input them again. It may be a simple solution to a difficult problem. It may have been a bug when I transferred it from wordpress.com.
Checking timestamps is trivial – if you visit Manage -> Posts the timestamp is shown for every post.
I was able to check it but I don’t know how to change them. Actually I didn’t look at the date for some reason but I did look at the id numbers on the left of that page. The id for that post was smaller than the others but it remained on the top.
Is there a way to change the time stamps. For future reference.
Actually I have already reposted the posts and it is working fine now.For future reference:
Edit the post.
Look over in the right column and expand that blue box labeled “Post Timestamp”.
Edit the Timestamp. And don’t forget to check the checkbox before clicking Edit Timestamp, because if you don’t, it won’t change (unless that’s different in 2.1….)
I don’t see any option to edit the time stamp.
I founds it thanks. It is available when I’m editing the posts. Thanks guys.
*Edit..for some reason I am only now seeing some post above tell me exactly how to find the timestamp.
