Stuck on the Update Page

    Hi,

    A few days ago I updated to the latest version of WordPress and ever since I haven’t been able to log into the admin panel.

    When I go to mysite.com/wp-admin the following message shows up:

    “Database Update Required

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

    Update WordPress Database”

    When I click on the “Update WordPress Database” it says that the WordPress database has been successfully updated, however, when I click on “continue” it takes me back to the first page saying that a Database Update is Required.

    The website itself is working fine, it’s just the admin panel I cannot access because of this. However, as I do need to add new content and manage the comments from the admin panel, I need to get this problem fixed as soon as possible.

    Can anyone please tell me what to do to fix this?
