Errcode 13; NOT host problem?

    Hi:
    So sorry if this is the wrong forum. Yesterday, out of the blue, I got this message at the top of my page:

    WordPress database error: [File ‘./blog/wp_bas_visitors.MYD’ not found (Errcode: 13)]
    SELECT * FROM wp_bas_visitors, wp_bas_refer, wp_bas_ua, wp_bas_os WHERE referer = referer_id AND osystem = os_id AND useragent = ua_id AND lasthere > DATE_SUB(NOW(), INTERVAL 20 MINUTE) AND visit_ip = -783086625 AND ua_string = ‘Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; IEMB3; IEMB3)’ ORDER BY lasthere DESC LIMIT 1

    AND

    WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘AND referer = referer_id AND osystem = os_id AND useragent = ua_]

    The documentation I’ve searched seems to indicate that errcode 13s are the fault of the hosting provider. In this case, Yahoo. When called, Yahoo says that is a WordPress problem. Any ideas?

    Yahoo never has a clue. It IS a host problem. If they won’t admit it, then you have two choices: get a new host (BEST option) or try to repair your database on your own.

    Thanks vkaryl. New host might be the way to go, as repairing the database myself hasn’t worked yet today.

    Ugh…. WHAT a PITA…. but yes, if you haven’t had any luck with the DIY route, just find somewhere else reasonable to host it, get it moved and working while you figure out what’s best for the long run.

    Yahoo is the WORST host there is.
