Front end editing not updating

    Hi,
    I seem to be having problems with the front end editor. Once activated it allows me to reposition the modules but it will not update any content or new modules or columns. I’m using my own (very basic) theme and when I switch to one of the inbuilt themes the front end editor disappears. I’m also using MAMP (virtual server) to develop the site.
