I second this… How would we go about doing this?
When the plugin goes out to Youtube/Vimeo/etc and retrieves the thumbnail image file, then saves it to the local media library, shouldn’t we be able to add an intermediate step of overlaying a PNG of choice (play button on a transparent background) on top of the thumbnail? I haven’t worked with PHP in years but wish I stayed brushed up on my skills. Any help is appreciated!
Sorry for the triple post, but… Add this feature to Pro (“custom image overlay”) and I’ll gladly pay in a heartbeat. Just sayin’!
