Hi,
thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
This sounds as if some of the JavaScript is not being loaded or interfered with.
Does this happen with all plugins (except TablePress) deactivated as well?
Can you also test in a different browser, please, to rule out any weirdnesses there? Thanks!
Regards,
Tobias
hi Tobias,
I have deactivated the plugins (except tablepress ) but seems like the issue is still there. so right now I am kind of clueless
it was working fine before since the site is launched as it’s been installed for close to a year. I think this just happened recently.
Hi,
ok, in that case it might be a good idea to take a look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!
Regards,
Tobias
hi Tobas,
sorry I was away.
thanks again for willing to look into this
I have sent you the temporary user/pass to your email
look forward to hear from you
thanks
Trent
Hi Trent,
thanks for the account details! I was able to log in and could reproduce the issue.
The reason for this problem seems to be related to the file access rights of the TablePress files on the server. The server is not allowed to read the JavaScript files which contain the code for the saving process and therefore nothing happens when the “Save changes” button is clicked.
Fixing this should be easy: Simply download TablePress again, extract the ZIP file, log in to your server via FTP, delete the TablePress folder there, and upload the one from the ZIP file. That should reset the file access rights, so that the server can read them again.
Regards,
Tobias
hi Tobias,
thanks for all your help
I have uploaded the new downloaded TP and replaced with the new file, but still not working. any idea? also, which js file are you referring to?
thanks
Trent
actually, let me contact server admin first. perhaps there’s server issue with file permission
I will keep you posted
thanks
Trent
Hi Trent,
I was refering to the .css and .js files in /wp-content/plugins/tablepress/… on the server.
Yes, the server admin should definitely be able to assist with this.

Tobias
