Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Can you try with all other plugins deactivated and only TablePress? Also, does it work on the regular WordPress posts/pages edit screen?
Regards,
Tobias
Hi – I’m having the same problem. When I deactivate Modern Tribe’s Event Calendar Pro, TablePress works fine. I really need both to work together… thoughts on what I can try?
Thanks,
Jamie
Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Are you also refering to the “Visual editor” here? Can you please check if there are any error messages in the JavaScript error log console in your browser?
Regards,
Tobias
Nothing there, but here’s that I get when I turn on WordPress Debug:
Fatal error: Class ‘TribeSettings’ not found in /public/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-amalgamator.php on line 262
Hi,
ok, that’s a PHP error, and not something that can be fixed in TablePress. You also get this when TablePress is deactivated, right?
If that is the case, you should report that error message to the Events Calender developer.

Tobias
Tobias,
NO this is not an error related to the-events-calendar… that works fine.
This error comes up when the-events-calendar is activated and table press is activated AND i try to add or edit a table.
if I turn off the-events-calendar, the editor works.
Hi,
ok, now I’m really confused.
Where exactly are you getting that PHP error message? The error message clearly hints at the The Events Calendar plugin.
Does the editor work when The Events Calendar is activated but TablePress is deactivated?
Regards,
Tobias
Okay here are the steps to recreate 😉
From Dashboard – enable your plugin and the events-calendar plugins…
Click on Tablepress->Add Table
Type the name of the table and click Add Table
If Debug=false then you get a blank white page.
If Debug=true then you see Fatal error: Class ‘TribeSettings’ not found in /public/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-amalgamator.php on line 262
Disable the-events-manager, all good… so, perhaps it’s not your plugin that’s not playing well with Tribe’s, but that’s what I’m trying to figure out.
Thanks!
Jamie
Hi Jamie,
thanks for those steps! This clearly tells me that there’s something wrong in The Events Calendar. They are for some reason loading stuff into the TablePress admin pages (which is never a good idea), but they don’t load everything (there’s that “TribeSettings” class missing).
This is nothing that I can fix in TablePress.
Please also see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/conflict-with-the-event-calendar-plugin-1?replies=1 which reports the same error message (but not in connection with TablePress).
Regards,
Tobias
Thanks! I posted something up there, and I’ll follow up with Tribe.

Hi,
yes, that’s going to be the best way to proceed with this!
If you or they find that there’s something that I can do in TablePress, please let me know!
Best wishes,
Tobias
