Contributer to have less permissions

Hi,

Okay so how do I know what version of wordpress I’m running?

Main reason why I’m here – if you set a role to ‘subsriber’, members cannot post however, when you change it to contributor, they can post but not write pages 9they can write osts) which is what i want but then they can see the comments tab and the awaiting moderation tab which i dont want them to do.

basically, i want members to be able to post posts but then after admins have approved of it, then it will be published and i dont want them to be able to see the comments and awaiting moderation tabs. how do i do this?
