MultiSite Install – Hostgator – Subdomain(s) not working

Seems that my “main” site (on the root) is “fine” but any subdomain sites I add can’t be “found”.
http://martialartsforme.com – works fine
http://test2.martialartsforme.com/ – no joy

I’ve been through a LOT of tweaking….not success.

I set up wildcard subdomain (*.martialartsforme.com (in public_html folder)).
Installed multi site.
Added wp-config and .htaccess content from the install directions.

I found this article:

….although I’m not sure this applies, I’ve asked HostGator to make the adjustment for me…..BUT, I DON’T feel this is my issue.

Seems others DON’T have issues with this set up….so I’m assuming I’m getting something wrong here….

Any thoughts??
